Eurocentrum is a skyscraper which is situated the farthest to the west, close to the Western Railway Station. It is one of lower skyscrapers - it is 88 metres high and has 21 floors above the ground and 3 underground ones. It is managed by Capital Park investment group. Eurocentrum is an office building, School and Pedagogical Publishing House (Wydawnictwa Szkolne i Pedagogiczne S.A.) is its main lessee.
The design of the building was made by the Turkish architect Vahap Toy - the same person who also designed Reform Plaza building (today Millennium Plaza). Probably this is why those buildings are somehow similar - the architectural form of both of them is not very sophisticated. The building's base is octagonal and its solid is definitely too dumpy - maybe the building could look a bit better if it was higher or had a smaller base area. In its existing form the building can be associated with some huge industrial container. It is often called a "salt-cellar".
Initially, the building was supposed to be the first one out of four similar ones, because of that it was named "Alpha". Three more buildings were to be built next to it, closer to Zawiszy Square, even their construction was started, but after finishing the underground floors, it was stopped. In the future, a long, 15-floor-high office building is planned to be constructed instead of the towers.
