At the northern outskirts of the centre the construction of a new skyscraper was completed in 2008. The building is called North Gate, previously its name was Belvedere Center. Together with Intraco I, situated on the other side of Andersa street, it forms a kind of a gate leading to the centre from the northern side.
The company Bonifraterska Development was the construction's investor. The skyscraper was designed by "Property - Project" Investment Company and Mostostal Warszawa Co. was the main contractor. The building is 87 metres high and has 26 floors. The total floor space is be 41800 m2 and the total usable area - 35600 m2. Offices are located on most of that area, only the first floor is of trade use. The offices on all of the floors are built in open-space system, so occupiers will have a possibility to form the arrange the space freely. The building has 310 parking places, located on 5 levels (3 under and 2 above the ground).
As we can see, the building looks quite showily. However, what can dazzle is the fact that the skyscraper does not form a harmonious whole with neighbouring Intraco I. The building could have been designed so that those two buildings had a similar height and were situated in one line. They would really form a gate then. In the form the building was constructed in the effect is for sure much lower.
More information about the building, also for people who would like to rent an office here, can be found on its official website: www.north-gate.pl.
More photos, of different phases of the construction can be seen here.
